Each crossbody purse handcrafted by an artisan from Andalusia; using up-cycled cotton remnants from furniture manufacturers, the artisan shreds the textile using the ancient tradition of "jarapa", a technique akin to ragrolling.
Reassembled on a 200 year old wooden loom, the pieces are blended into unique patterns and then combined with the best quality calf leather to create original handmade leather bags.
The leather strap on the bandolera is adjustable, and can be worn either on the shoulder or across the body, bandolera style (bandolera is Spanish for bandit; bandits roamed the Andalusian countryside in the 18th and 19th centuries, wearing their bags across the body to leave their hands free).
Each handmade bag is zipped on the outside and has a separate pocket, in a differing woven material, on the inside.
The crossbody bag is lined in thick cotton.
