We based the design of our tea towel on the geometric tiles of a small mosque hidden in the backstreets of the Southern Spanish city of Córdoba, once the cultural and intellectual hub of Al-Andalus and the biggest city in Europe.
Geometric patterns are so ancient and yet the clarity of their design lends itself to a modern aesthetic. The original design had a mixed color scheme, but we decided to enhance those clean lines with a monochrome color combination of teal blue and white. We were wowed by the results!
By stripping the motif down to its basic elements, an ancient design has been given a beautiful, clean modern look in a striking single colour on white.
Our tea towels add an element of design and soul to any kitchen and are made of 100% cotton.
