Handmade in Morocco by expert artisans, these decorative tassels can be used as curtain tie-backs for a stunning window treatment, wall décor, as a large tassel for furniture or simply hung on a door.
These chic tassels have an original filigree design wrapped around the silver motif, incorporating a handcrafted soft geometric flower design.
Used as drapery ties to make a spectacular window treatment or as decorative home accents in search of Moroccan décor inspiration, these artisan made tassels are both original and elegant.
The motif has a filigree design wrapped around it with a soft flower pattern echoing Islamic geometrics. These curtain tie holdbacks are handmade by a master metalsmith, who uses basic tools combined with years of skill. These are then combined with intricate tassel fringes which are made using the art of passementerie (the art of threads) by a second craftsman using nothing more than a large needle, a pair of hands, fingers, toes and scissors.
The results are luxurious and sumptuous curtain ties and tassels which bely the low environmental impact and basic tools of their artisan production.
These curtain ties are sold in pairs and are classed as size small within our collection, although they are bigger than most other tassels available on the market.
These drapery pullbacks measure:
Metric: 91cm long in total; the fringe measures 35cm long x 7cm wide.

Imperial: 35 3/4" long in total; the fringe measures 14 3/4" long and 2 3/4" wide.
The metal motif is hand engraved and is made of German Silver (a mix of 60% copper, 20% zinc and 20% nickel).
