In striped fabric handwoven in muted tones, this textile, with a natural sheen, is combined with sumptuously soft genuine leather in contrasting fuchsia pink goatskin leather, making a gorgeous and unique colorful tote bag.
Our stunning pink handbag, in the larger version of our tote bag design, is made from soft and supple goat leather in bright fuchsia pink which is combined with the plant based textile that is rayon, handwoven in a mix of muted colored stripes of black, brown, fuchsia pink, taupe, green, blue, aubergine, greys and cream.
Rayon is a textile derived from cellulose wood pulp, a leftover product from other manufacturing processes.
The rayon threads have been handwoven on traditional wooden looms by a community of artisans in Morocco. The warp, or background color, is interwoven with the weft, the over-colors.
Their combination gives a lovely, iridescent sheen to the fabric; the artisan handcrafted process makes each piece a unique handbag, each made using a low environmental impact production method.
To open and close this colorful handbag there is a long zip on the outside and a small pocket with a zip on the inside.
This beautiful leather tote is also fully lined.
