Handwoven in striped fabric in bright, vibrant multicolored stripes, this textile has a natural sheen and has been combined with sumptuously soft genuine leather in contrasting black goatskin, resulting in a colorful tote bag that´s both original and fresh.
Our stunning black leather tote bag, in the larger version of this design, is made from soft, supple goatskin leather which has been combined with the plant based textile that is rayon, which has been handwoven in stripes of brown, yellow, purple, red, pinks and blue, a vibrant contrast to the classic black leather.
Rayon is a natural fiber derived from cellulose wood pulp lefotover from other manufacturing processes.
The rayon threads have been handwoven on traditional wooden looms by a community of artisans in Morocco. The warp, or background color, is interwoven with the weft, the over-colors.
Their combination gives a lovely, iridescent sheen to the fabric and the artisan production process makes each piece a unique handmade leather handbag with a low environmental impact.
To open and close th is colorful handbag there is a long zip on the outside and a small pocket with a zip on the inside.
This beautiful black leather tote bag is also fully lined.
