Handcrafted by an artisan in Andalusia, this lovely shoulder bag is made using the old technique of jarapa.
Using cotton remnants leftover from furniture manufacturing, he shreds them into strips and weaves them together into red toned stripes.
Combined with the best calfskin leather, the upcycled fabric is turned into an original, over the shoulder bag.
The craftsman shreds the pieces into strips using the old Spanish tradition of jarapa, dating back to the 16th century.
Reassembled on a 200 year old wooden loom, the pieces are blended to create a unique, up-cycled fabric with thick earthy colored red and terracotta stripes which he then combines with the best quality calf leather to create a unique over the shoulder bag.
Each colorful bag is zipped on the outside and has a separate pocket, in a differt woven material, on the inside.
The handbag for women is lined in thick cotton.
The red shoulder bag measures:
(Metric) 59cm long x 29cm wide x 10cm deep
or
(Imperial) 23.22" long x 11.41" wide x 3.93" deep
Being a handmade product, measurements may vary very slightly.
