WHY WE LOVE IT
This gorgeous leather shoulder bag is handcrafted by an Andalusian artisan, using the old technique of jarapa.
Using cotton remnants leftover from furniture manufacturing, he shreds them into strips and weaves them together into color co-ordinated stripes.
Combined with the best calfskin leather, the craftsman shapes his upcycled fabric into an original, over the shoulder bag.
Each shoulder bag is handcrafted by an artisan from Andalusia, using the cotton remnants leftover from the furniture manufacturing process and which would otherwise be discarded as a waste product.
The craftsman shreds the pieces into strips using the old Spanish tradition of jarapa, dating back to the 16th century.
Reassembled on a 200 year old wooden loom, the pieces are blended to create a unique, up-cycled fabric with thick colorful stripes which he then combines with the best quality calf leather to create a totally original and unique over the shoulder bag.
Each colorful bag is zipped on the outside and has a separate pocket, in a differt woven material, on the inside.
The handbag for women is lined in thick cotton.
