Each crossbody bag is handmade by an artisan from Andalusia; using up-cycled cotton remnants from furniture manufacturers, the artisan shreds the textile using the ancient tradition of "jarapa".
Reassembled on a 200 year old wooden loom, the pieces are blended into thick colored stripes and then combined with the best quality calf leather to create an original piece. This bag comes in stripes of black, cream and beige.
The leather strap on this crossbody bag is adjustable, and can be worn either on the shoulder or across the body, "bandolero" style (bandolero is Spanish for bandit; bandits roamed the Andalusian countryside in the 18th and 19th centuries, wearing their bags across the body to leave their hands free).
Each bag is zipped on the outside and has a separate pocket, in a differing woven material, on the inside.
The striped bag is lined in thick cotton.
The shoulder bag measures:
(Metric) 37cm high x 31cm wide x 10cm deep
or
(Imperial) 14.56" long x 12.20" wide x 3.93" deep
Being a handmade product, measurements may vary very slightly.
