In a classic color pallet of black, greys & silver, our beautiful artisan made pashmina scarf is handwoven on traditional wooden looms by a dynamic cooperative in Morocco.
The threads are silk-like to the touch with a subtle, reflective sheen thanks to the warp (undertone color) working beautifully with the weft (the multiple colors woven over and through the warp).
Although this striped fabric can be hand-washed or dry cleaned, it won´t suffer being machine washed at 30º Celsius / 86º Fahrenheit (cool wash) and ironed on a cotton setting, which makes it super easy to care for and a practical, durable choice. Neither will the fabric lose its rich color, beautiful sheen or softness after multiple washes.
This fabric, created from natural by-products of cellulose fibres, can be used as a pashmina, wrap, shawl and scarf and is usable throughout the year, although the color combinations are so lovely, some of our customers have gone off-piste & used it as a table runner, wall hanging or decorative fabric at the foot of their bed or instead of a headboard.
Although artisan made on ancient wooden looms, our handwoven pashmina manages to combine a bohemian style with a luxurious, sophisticated look & feel so it won´t be out of place at a wedding or party celebration, but could also just as well give a lift to a day-time outfit.
This is the perfect artisanal clothing fashion accessory, the best luxury gift for the woman who has everthing, a unique piece that she´ll actually love, an unusual gift and affordable luxury gift idea that doesn´t cost the earth.
Each pashmina is made in limited batches, and although the vibrant community of artisans that weave them use the same threads and color mix, each shawl is unique.
These shawls can also be matched with our cute Evening Bags of the same beautiful color combination (listed separately under Bags) handwoven in the same material, making a stunning combination.
The shawl measures:
(Metric) 180cm long x 60cm wide
or
(Imperial) 71" long x 23.75" wide
Each item is artisan made and so patterns will vary very slightly, but rest assured that the same style and colors have been used as in the photos.
