The trimmings, knots and fringe are created by a passementerie craftsman.

The passementerie artsian works those threads hard, twisting, cutting and threading them into the most extraordinary creations, yet using the most basic of tools: a large needle, his own hands, fingers and toes and a pair of scissors. The tools may be simple but in practice this eco friendly, low impact production process takes a lot of skill, finger agility, patience, precision and expertise.
We sell these tassels in pairs. Their size is classed as small within our collection, although is larger compared to most other tassels on the market.
The tassels measure:
Metric: 87cm long in total; the fringe measures 39cm long x 6cm wide.
or
Imperial: 34.25" long in total; the fringe measures 15.35" long and 2.36" wide.
The metal motif is hand engraved and is made of German Silver (a mix of 60% copper, 20% zinc and 20% nickel).
