Tassels and curtain holdbacks in small with Moroccan design

Our beautiful handmade tassels have a simple oriental motif with a hand engraved design that wraps itself around it´s middle.

Used as curtain tie holdbacks to make spectacular window treatments or as decorative home accents in boho style mixed with a large dose of elegance, this is artisan made Moroccan décor to create a beautiful home interior.

The motif is handcrafted by a master metalsmith using basic tools and a lot of skill and know-how.  The trimmings are made by a second craftsman using nothing more than a large needle, a pair of hands, fingers, toes and scissors.

It is quite awe inspiring that such beautiful pieces can be created employing such basic tools and a commendable environmentally friendly production process. 

But what the artisans don´t have in modern tools they certainly have in expertise, skill, dexterity and attention to detail and these are their true super powers.  An intimate knowledge of their craft honed over many years and passed from generation to generation.

These Moroccan curtain holdbacks are sold in pairs and is classed as size small within our collection, although is bigger than most other tassels available on the market.

The tassels measure:

Metric: 84.5cm long in total; the fringe measures 33cm long x 6cm wide.

or

Imperial: 33.26" long in total; the fringe measures 12.99" long and 2.36" wide.

The metal motif is hand engraved and is made of German Silver (a mix of 60% copper, 20% zinc and 20% nickel).
