For centuries, scallop shells have been used in design for furniture, architecture and interior design.
Our tassels incorporate a scallop shell as it's central motif. Collaborating with a master craftsman from Morocco, the metal shell has folds not easy to re-create by hand.
This curtain tie has a simple, slender, long drop fringe, giving the tassel a glamorous, art-deco feel.
Our beautiful handmade tassels make the perfect decorative wall décor for a home interior wanting a little art-déco glamour.
The tassels can be used as curtain tie backs or simply as stunning wall accents for the home. They can be hung in windows, from furniture, at the entrance of a house, as a wall art décor, from a beam or at the end of a curtain pole. They are the perfect blend of art-déco and Moroccan décor with a touch of boho style.
This single sided shell tassel is size medium.
We sell this design in pairs.
The tassels measure:
Metric: 108cm long in total; the fringe measures 48cm long x 6.5cm wide
or
Imperial: 42.51" long in total; the fringe measures 18.89" long and 2.55" wide.
The shell motif has been cut and shaped by hand and is a single sided design, made of German Silver (a mix of 60% copper, 20% zinc and 20% nickel) and has an art déco feel and look.
