Tassels and curtain tie-backs in large with double sided square design

Our beautiful handmade large tassels and curtain tie backs have a double sided square, hand cut central motif.

The tassels can be used as contemporary tie backs for curtains or simply as stunning home décor and decorative accents.

They can be hung in windows, from furniture, at the entrance in a hallway, as wall décor, from a beam or at the end of a curtain pole.

Created by master craftsmen from Morocco, one is a metalsmith, the other steeped in the art of threads, known as passementerie. 
Using basic tools of pencil and paper, a hard surface, a hammer, metal cutting tools and a solder, the metalworker does magical things to create the metal motif. 
This is then combined with the artistry of the thread-maker, whose tools are even more fundamental: his hands, fingers, toes, a large needle and some scissors. 

Together they make something not good, but extraordinary, using very low impact, enviornmentally friendly production processes.

These metal curtain ties measure:

Metric: 112.5cm long in total; the fringe and motif measure 62.5cm long x 14cm at it?s widest point

or

Imperial: 44.29" long in total; the fringe and motif measure 24.60" x 5.51" at it´s widest point.

The central square motif is hand cut and double sided and is made of German Silver (a mix of 60% copper, 20% zinc and 20% nickel).
