The motif is based on the brooches worn by the Berbers of Morocco and the inverted C shape is a tradition of this brooch design.
Of an undulating scallop shell, the main motif has been worked by a master craftsman and engraved by hand with a beautiful, ethnic pattern.

The tassels measure:
Metric: The total length is 109cm, the fringe measures 46cm long x 20cm wide and the metal motif measures 23cm long x 19cm
(Imperial) the total length is 42.91", the fringe measures 18.11" long x 7.87" and the metal motif measures 9.05" long x 7.48" wide.
The central motif is hand cut and single sided and is made of German Silver (a mix of 60% copper, 20% zinc and 20% nickel).
