This beautiful blown glass décor was the first design in our hand blown glass home décor collection.
Based on the slightly squished shape and swirl design of a Sultan´s Turban, these "Turban" glass spheres offer beauty and simplicity in one.
Using traditional techniques, specialist artisans blow the glass to Andaluchic´s design in Egypt.
These decorative glass balls are then hand painted and the jewel colors are burnt into the glass inside an oven heated to 2,500° C.
Originally used as talismans hung in windows and doors as a way of protecting the home from negative influences, today they are enjoyed as object d´art, witch balls and suncatchers that move and catch the ever-changing light and moods of the day and night.
They look eye-catching hung alone or in clusters, creating a focal point in windows, over doorways, from beams and curtain poles.
They can be mixed and matched in shape, size and color for a stunning display.
