These Peruvian earrings are made in oxidized silver, highlighting the filigree design weaved into the earrings which contrasts against the natural sterling silver.

Custom made in Peru by a talented young silversmith and inspired by Inca patterns, these abstract earrings have been handcrafted using the art of filigree into a beautiful wave pattern: made from 925 sterling silver, a single wire, itself created from several strands of silver, is twisted to create unique, intricate patterns.
Filigree was introduced to the Americas by the conquering Spaniards, who in turn inherited the technique from the influx of Arabs into Spain during the period of Al-Andalus.
The technique was widespread in the Middle East thanks to new ideas introduced via the Silk Road and Jewish communities became expert in the art of filigree.
The handmade earrings measure:
