The luxuriously sheeny striped fabric, handwoven in blue, green, black, turquoise and gold is beautifully combined with deep tobacco brown goatskin leather, resulting in a tote bag with an original and unique design and shape.
Our stunning tobacco brown leather tote bag, in the larger version of this design, is made from soft and supple goatskin combined with the plant based textile that is rayon, which has been handwoven in a mix of stunning stripes in blue, green, black, turquoise and a hint of gold.
Rayon is a natural fiber derived from cellulose wood pulp.
The rayon threads itself has been handwoven on traditional wooden looms by a community of artisans in Morocco. The warp, or background color, is interwoven with the weft, the over-colors.
Their combination gives a lovely, iridescent sheen to the fabric and the artisan production process makes each bag a unique piece as well as having a low environmental impact.
To open and close this handmade leather bag there is a long zip on the outside and a small pocket with a zip on the inside.
This beautiful brown tote bag is also fully lined.
